Lindsay's mother-in-law wanted to treat her to a spa weekend for Mother's Day and her birthday and, long story short, I got invited, too! We went to Lakeway Resort & Spa this past weekend and we had so much fun. It was such a wonderful treat to spend all day with my sister and her friend, Cheryl, getting pampered :) As much as I love Jackson, it was nice having my sister's undivided attention so that we could actually talk without getting interrupted ;) Even though our spa treatments didn't start until noon, we got there in the morning to enjoy the pool. The views of the (low) Lake Travis were very pretty, too.
After a quick lunch at the swim-up bar, we headed to the spa for our treatments!
I had the most relaxing massage, body scrub, manicure, and pedicure. I could have easily fallen asleep and woken up the next day. Instead, though, we got ready and had dinner at the restaurant at the hotel, Masterson's. It was good, but we all agreed definitely over-priced. But the sunset over Lake Travis made up for it :)
After dinner, we had a wild night in the hot tub and talked until almost 10pm! We are some crazy girls when our husbands aren't around.
The next morning, we packed up and headed back to reality - except much better rested, with softer skin, and prettier nails. Thanks, again, for inviting me to tag along, Kyle! I had a great time and can't wait until we do it again!

I'm Baaaaaaaaaack!
Sorry, my three blog followers. I've been really bad about staying updated, but I've decided to just do a photo dump and quickly catch you up on the last 10 months. Here goes:
Lots of hanging out with this guy!
Lost that little guy from marathon training.
Gave Jackson his first Halloween present :) Batman jacket!
I had fun playing dress up as the Robert Palmer back-up dancers at my company's annual users' conference :)
I painted my first pumpkin (so much easier!) at a Halloween party with Bogey.
But this little guy is still my favorite pumpkin :)
I went to Los Angeles for a conference for work and got there a day early to do a little exploring at my favorite Real Housewives of Beverly Hills places!
Some more fun with this guy was had!
We had our first Chang family Christmas tree! (We opted out of one last year since we'd been on our honeymoon most of December.)
Nelson and I celebrated our first anniversary with a wonderful dinner at Truluck's!
I had a fun night babysitting Jackson at my mom's.
We spent Christmas morning at Lindsay's, basically watching this adorable guy all day! He was so cute and excited!
I turned the wonderful age of 27 and had the best visitors at work!
Not long after, we celebrated Jackson's first birthday! There was so much going on and lots of little kids running around. But I think Jackson really enjoyed the basketball Uncle Nelson and I got him.
I went to New York City for the first time ever for another conference - and I landed right when a huge snow storm blew in! I had to buy new boots in order to walk around :)
I ran my first marathon! Since the Dallas White Rock Marathon was cancelled due to weather, I signed up for the Austin Marathon. It was super hilly, but I beat my goal of four hours by almost eight minutes!
Nelson's friend, Paul, married Anne in March, and we were so blessed to be part of their special day :)
Jackson is such a little ham!
I took another work trip to San Francisco (lucky me!) and went the weekend before to visit Grace and Elaine!
Nelson and I had our first garage sale that was a semi-success: we got rid of his favorite headband!
My mom took us and Lindsay's family to South Padre Island for a long weekend! We had so much fun watching Jackson play, playing with Jackson, and following Jackson around the pool :) Unfortunately, Lindsay's flip-flop broke, so we had to go to one of those amazing t-shirt shops and found these gems.
Nelson and I went to Las Vegas with a couple of friends. We took a day trip to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. The view was absolutely gorgeous! We also made our way to downtown Las Vegas and I visited Pawpaw Jack's pictures.
This guy loves the water :)
I signed up for my next marathon: Chevron Houston Marathon!
And that's a wrap!
