It's so hard...

Not just having a newborn, but trying to keep up the blogging! Here's what we've been up to the past three weeks (I'll spoil the surprise for you: mostly hanging out and taking pictures for Dad at work!).

The theme has been Kennedy and I take a nap at the end of the afternoon, and Nelson takes a picture of us when he gets home from work.

The easiest way to get things done is with a baby strapped to you!

We had lunch with the Marketing Demand Gen and got all dressed up to meet our boyfriend, Emerson :)

The whole team! Amber, Thomas, Jena, me and Kennedy, and Emily and Emerson

Luckily I planned ahead and brought the Boppy with a white blanket since 360 usually has good bluebonnet spots. Sure enough, there was one way up off the highway and I could park in a neighborhood (versus the highway shoulder). It was pretty bright for poor Kennedy.... but I still took a ton.

Arm rolls <3

Staying warm in the morning :)

Gaaaahhhhh!!! I love this growing tummy <3

Nelson's mom bought some "Future Astronaut" clothes at NASA.

Our daily walks are the highlight of the day!

Poor girl got her first pretty bad diaper rash and it's all my fault! I had chai tea lattes from Starbucks on Saturday and Sunday morning before realizing that was giving her the diaper rash (burning poop), keeping her really awake, and upsetting her tummy so she was extra fussy :( No more chai for me for the next year! I let it air out like this for about three minutes before she started peeing and pooping, and then I felt even worse.

Kennedy sleeps pretty well in our bed in the morning, and I do, too :)

Leg rolls <3

All ready to meet my cousins! Lindsay, Ben, and the boys had a wedding over the weekend, so they came a couple days early so they could see / meet Kennedy.

Cheeks <3

This was the first time Jackson showed an interest in Kennedy. He was shy when they got in the night before so didn't look at her too much.

Miss priss while the boys played out front.

Jackson asked to hold Kennedy and it was the cutest thing :)

Dean thinks the baby is pretty neat, but isn't as into her as Jackson.

Kennedy had her first trip to Zilker Park!

And Jackson took the party hat from my Cabbage Patch doll and thought Kennedy should wear it haha :)

Pretty baby out running errands with me and my mom. Shortly after this picture, she peed all over the dress while I was changing her. Ugh.

Our first walk around Town Lake with Sarah and Oliver!

Olivia and Landon came to visit :)

Bath time is so much more enjoyable - for everyone!

And we're even in such a great mood afterwards, too :)

Nelson thinks the playmat and Boppy make great pillows. This was the same night, too, even though he's on different sides.

Our new Saturday mornings!

The best representation of how we feel haha :) I look terrible, Nelson's yawning, and Kennedy's naked from spit-up on her jammies.

Nelson tried out the baby wearing, too. And yes, I still have the tag on the side....

Wearing the outfit Lindsay gave me the day before Kennedy was born - and she was NOT having the photo shoot.

But soon calmed down enough for a picture of the ruffles on the bottom and for lounging on the couch.

See? Nothing too exciting ;)
