Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

We had a random cold snap yesterday and, during Kennedy's afternoon nap, I looked outside to see it was SNOWING! Texas weather, y'all.

I was bummed she was sleeping and missed it, but it wasn't much, so brushed it off. Nelson got home soon after and we were commenting that it was kinda starting to sleet. I didn't think about it at the time, but it must have coated the grass in a nice layer of ice. After bath and getting dressed in her jammies, Nelson was reading Kennedy a story and I went to throw away the dirty diaper only to look outside and see it was REALLY snowing hard! I quickly ran back to Kennedy's room, stuck her in a jacket and hat, and took her outside for a couple pictures of "Baby's First Snow" :)

She didn't really know what to think haha.

The next morning, we woke up to a winter wonderland <3

And decided to bundle up our baby and go for a walk in the neighborhood to see how pretty everything was covered in white. I told Nelson we're actually pretty lucky we don't have trees because our yard was covered; those who had trees shielded the yard from snow, so their yards were kind of depressing - ha.

It melted just as quickly as it came, but it was a lot of fun having it for just one morning!
