Weekend in Southlake

Now that Lindsay and the boys are in Southlake, visits to see them are for the whole weekend! Nelson just happened to be going to Phoenix during the week, so I suggested he schedule his flight home go to DFW and I'd drive up after work. It was fun spending time with Lindsay, Jackson, and Dean (and Ben). We did all sorts of things, like go to a splash park / pool, play in the backyard, walk to a cupcake store near their house, and just play in general!

Jackson caught a catfish in a pond at the park (Lindsay, Dean, and I stayed home in the AC).

At one point, I couldn't find Jackson or Nelson. I was walking all over upstairs looking for them, but then I suddenly heard their voices. The room was empty, but the closet wasn't! We gave Dean to Nelson so that he could join the boys' club, too.

They're "asleep". Dean didn't get the memo.

Final note: the drive on I35 between Austin and Dallas absolutely stinks. We were stopped for a good 30 minutes due to an accident. We didn't move at all, so people started getting out of their cars. I found it amusing this guy got out of his truck, opened the trunk of the car he was towing, and got some water out.

We can't wait to go back!
